Your suggested route
The times below are suggested allowances, not live opening hours or transport schedules. Adjust the order for your arrival time, bookings and conditions.
Day 1 · Morning · Jiefangbei and the city levels
Start around Jiefangbei with breakfast and a slow orientation walk. Allow time to understand which street level your destination occupies. Choose a short route towards Shibati if steps suit, rather than trusting a flat map to describe the walking effort.
Day 1 · Afternoon · Shibati and a break
Explore the rebuilt Shibati visitor area for 90 minutes, then have lunch and rest. Keep the afternoon deliberately lighter before the evening riverfront. Steps and heat can make a short-looking route more tiring than expected.
Day 1 · Evening · Hongyadong
Visit the public viewing areas around Hongyadong after checking current crowd controls. Enjoy the illuminated buildings from an appropriate viewpoint and keep passageways clear. Have dinner nearby or at a preselected restaurant, avoiding repeated river crossings for photographs.
Day 2 · Morning · Liziba
Use the urban rail network to reach the Liziba area and observe the train setting from the designated public viewing space. Allow an hour including the approach. Treat this as a short transport-and-city stop, not somewhere to wait for a perfect empty frame indefinitely.
Day 2 · Afternoon · One neighbourhood or river experience
Choose a longer neighbourhood visit such as Ciqikou, or a riverfront afternoon closer to the centre. A cableway or cruise can replace that time if current operations suit. Finish with hotpot or another dinner, keeping the route manageable rather than adding every viral landmark.
