Your suggested route
The times below are suggested allowances, not live opening hours or transport schedules. Adjust the order for your arrival time, bookings and conditions.
Day 1 · Morning · Wat Phra Yai
Begin with Wat Phra Yai, the Big Buddha temple, while keeping clothing suitable for a religious site. Allow an hour including the approach and views. Add nearby Wat Plai Laem only if you want another temple visit, rather than feeling obliged to collect both.
Day 1 · Afternoon · Choeng Mon
Have lunch around Choeng Mon and spend the afternoon at an appropriate beach area or café. Check local swimming conditions before entering the water. Keeping the first day in the northeast avoids spending most of it circling the island by car.
Day 1 · Evening · Bophut
Travel to Bophut for a waterfront walk and dinner around Fisherman’s Village. Check the actual market schedule if you want a market evening. Reserve a particular restaurant if it matters, and arrange the return ride before finishing late.
Day 2 · A slower coast day
Choose a single beach area near your accommodation for breakfast, a walk and a relaxed lunch. Add a booked cooking class or spa appointment if interested. A full-day Ang Thong excursion should replace this day entirely and requires suitable marine conditions.
