Your suggested route
The times below are suggested allowances, not live opening hours or transport schedules. Adjust the order for your arrival time, bookings and conditions.
09:00 · Bondi breakfast and promenade
Start in Bondi with breakfast, then walk the promenade before the beach becomes the centre of the day. Spend 30–45 minutes looking at the sand, surf and southern end of the bay. Keep the first stop relaxed rather than making a restaurant queue dictate the entire route.
10:30 · Bondi to Bronte
Follow the coastal path south through Tamarama towards Bronte. Budget about 90 minutes with photo stops and rests, longer if you spend time on either beach. This is a coastal walk with steps and exposed sections, so choose a shorter turnaround if the weather is hot or the sea is rough.
12:30 · Bronte lunch and beach time
Have lunch near Bronte and allow another hour for the park or beach. Swimming is optional and depends on patrols and conditions; you can enjoy the outing fully without entering the water. Avoid adding the longer Coogee extension unless everyone has the energy and daylight for it.
Afternoon · Return via Bondi Junction
Take a bus towards Bondi Junction for the train connection, or return to Bondi for a slower afternoon. A visit to UNSW is a separate eastern-suburbs detour, not a stop on the coastal path. Leave it for another day unless the campus is a particular interest.
