Your suggested route
The times below are suggested allowances, not live opening hours or transport schedules. Adjust the order for your arrival time, bookings and conditions.
Day 1 · Morning · Chen Clan Ancestral Hall
Begin with the Chen Clan Ancestral Hall and allow 90 minutes to two hours for its architecture and folk-art displays. Look closely at decorative details rather than passing straight through the courtyards. Check the current museum opening arrangements first.
Day 1 · Afternoon · Shamian
Have a Cantonese lunch, then travel to Shamian for a slower architectural walk and café break. Allow two hours including sitting time. Keep to public areas and respect buildings that are working premises rather than visitor attractions.
Day 1 · Evening · A local dinner
Choose dinner in the older-city area or near your accommodation. A short Beijing Road browse can suit an energetic evening, but it is optional. Keep the night manageable rather than adding the modern riverfront after two substantial daytime stops.
Day 2 · Morning · Dim sum and a cultural choice
Begin with a leisurely dim sum meal, then choose a museum or a neighbourhood walk according to opening days. Allow a real meal window instead of treating dim sum as a quick snack between tickets.
Day 2 · Afternoon and evening · Zhujiang New Town
Explore Huacheng Square and the modern riverfront, then choose a Canton Tower visit if visibility and tickets suit. A ground-level skyline walk is also worthwhile. Finish with dinner nearby, leaving time for the return across the river if needed.
