Your suggested route

The times below are suggested allowances, not live opening hours or transport schedules. Adjust the order for your arrival time, bookings and conditions.

  1. Day 1 · Arrival · Settle before exploring

    Reach your accommodation, have lunch and confirm the following day’s island tour. Walk a small section of town or your nearby coast in the late afternoon. Keep this day flexible, especially if arriving after a long road transfer from Puerto Princesa.

  2. Day 2 · Morning · A lagoon-focused boat day

    Choose an authorised island-hopping route with a clearly confirmed lagoon visit, such as an available Big Lagoon programme. Listen to the briefing and use the required flotation equipment. Kayak access, permits and extra charges should be clarified before departure.

  3. Day 2 · Afternoon · Fewer, longer stops

    Enjoy the tour’s permitted beach and snorkelling stops and take a proper lunch break. Follow the crew’s decisions on currents and weather. A shorter list of well-paced stops is preferable to entering places briefly just to claim every tour highlight.

  4. Day 3 · A land-based coast day

    Choose Nacpan with arranged return transport if road and beach conditions suit, or stay closer to your accommodation for a slower morning. Allow time for lunch and the return. If flying or making a long transfer, shorten this outing rather than risking your connection.

  5. Evening option · One final dinner

    If staying another night, enjoy a relaxed dinner near your base and review tomorrow’s transfer. A second boat route can replace day three if the sea is suitable, but it is not essential to enjoying El Nido and should not remove your departure buffer.

Where to pause for food

Confirm the boat lunch and drinking-water provision, carrying a small secure snack. Choose town dinners with clear menus and seafood pricing. Eat before a long road transfer rather than relying on an uncertain roadside stop.

Getting around

Check whether you are arriving directly near El Nido or through Puerto Princesa, which involves a substantial road journey. Match your hotel with the tour pickup point. Arrange both directions of a Nacpan outing and do not assume a return vehicle will be waiting.

For a shorter day or different weather

If boats are cancelled, use a suitable land-based day and keep the tour movable. Visitors who do not kayak should ask what the lagoon experience involves without it. Do not replace a cancelled official route with an unverified private departure.

Before you go

Confirm permits, environmental fees, kayak rental, passenger numbers and weather cancellation terms with the operator. Named tour letters are not sufficient: read the actual stops and inclusions. This plan allows breathing room but cannot guarantee marine access on a particular date.
